When you are loved, you no longer fear change nor are you afraid of change. When you love you are willing to embrace the sacrifice of change and make the sacrifice to change. When you live a life of love, you are not bound to who you are but to who you will become. Love transforms. It leaves nothing it touches as it was before its caress.
The more you love someone the more that person can hurt you. When you give your heart away to someone, you entrust it to that person’s care. Your beloved can pretty much do whatever he or she wants with it. You are left vulnerable and defenseless.
Given all the problems love can create, why do we keep longing for it?
If you had the chance to erase all the memories of your greatest love to be free of the pain of losing it, would you?
What if you never find love?
When love does not come to you, it breaks your heart, but when you do not give love away, it hardens your heart.
One thing stranger than our need to be loved is our need to love. We are designed for love.
