Embracing Your Female Destiny #7

(If you are new to this blog or have not read them all, they are in reverse order from the last blog to the first blog.  I recommend reading and pondering them in order so as to follow the path of purpose of this journey of your HEART and Life StoryRobersonchip40@gmail.com.)

For the next few weeks the focus will be on the female journey of childhood through the teen years.  This journey is not to be any type of quick fix, but a part of a process of transformation.  Writing about your experiences could change your life.  In John Bradshaw’s book Homecoming, he writes “What I now understand is that when a child’s development is arrested, when feelings are repressed, especially the feelings of anger and hurt, a person grows up to be an adult with an angry, hurt child inside of him.  This person will spontaneously contaminate the person’s adult behavior”.

For a woman to unveil her beauty means she is offering her HEART.

Women have tender, merciful HEARTS, backbones of steel and hands that have been trained for battle.  There is something incredibly fierce in the HEART of a woman that is to be contended with, not dismissed, not disdained, but recognized, honored, welcomed and trained

What was
your childhood like?

Who were your friends and what were they like
?

2 – 6 YEARS OF AGE

Girls…were allowed to play in the house…and boys were sent outdoors…Boys ran around in the yard with toy guns, fighting wars for made-up reasons and arguing about who was dead, while girls stayed inside and played with dolls, creating relational groups and learning how to solve problems through negotiation and role-playing.

5 – 8 YEARS OF AGE

Numerous studies have shown that the more secure a child feels with their parents, the more sense they have of right and wrong.

This is a stage of following the rules.  Generally, the child wants to be a “good girl” and wants to please their parents and teachers.

What you need emotionally is, You are noticed. Your HEART matters.  Your father adores you.

For we must remember that above all else, this stage is the time of Affirmation, the time when a child comes to learn and learn deeply that you are the Beloved Daughter.

Write out what your thoughts are up to this point?  How does your HEART immediately respond to the question “Am I Prized?”
